Expression of Interest- Head of Operations VIC/SA

Essence of the role:
The role of the Head of Operations works within the Mission and Mission in Action and is responsible for the operational performance and clinical oversight of residential aged care services in their region. The role works through their Residential Managers to lead and set the culture of the services and encourages and mentors these Managers to achieve their service objectives.
This role works with the Executive General Manager Residential Care to plan the delivery of care services for their Residential Care homes and is accountable for ensuring that all aspects of operations achieve expected outcomes. The breadth of this role requires a strong level of business acumen understanding of residential aged care quality and compliance matters people leadership skills and ability to work independently but also within the operational policies and delegated authority levels of HammondCare.
This role allocates resources and makes a wide range of decisions that appropriately balance resident family Team and organisational outcomes. This role communicates regularly with the Executive General Manager Residential Care escalating issues when appropriate on the principle of no surprises.
Key Focus Areas:
- Provide oversight and leadership of their direct residential care services in regard to its strategic direction quality of service quality of Team operational management and performance.
- Ensure delivery of high quality and safety.
- Develop coach and mentor managers within residential care and ensure leaders are developed for future growth.
