Job Description
Job Role: Residential Support Worker Children Homes
Location: Burnley Lancashire
Service: Childrens Residential Home - Ofsted
Service Users: Young People aged 6 to 17 with Emotional Behaviour Disorder (EBD)
Home Size: Maximum occupancy of 3 Young People
Reporting To: Deputy Manager
Contract Type: Permanent / Full-Time
Driving: Full UK Driving Licence Required
Experience required: The ability to demonstrate you have worked with Young People and or Children within a challenging environment is desirable.
Salary: Up to 32.4K including sleep-in allowance with an average of 11 per month
The Home
This Childrens Residential Home provides a tranquil and supportive environment for young people facing challenges. The home accommodates a maximum of three young people and boasts a dedicated and established team.

Main Duties:
- Work collaboratively as a team member to provide young people with various activities support care and guidance using a positive parenting model.
- Follow guidance from the Team Leader and senior colleagues to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home providing structure and appropriate boundaries for the young people in their care.
- Maintain a flexible approach to shift patterns accommodating changes to the rota at short notice.
- Ensure that all risks are safely managed following company policies and procedures.
- Undertake an in-depth quality and bespoke training package.
- Act as an advocate for the young person using a positive parenting model.
- Attend staff meetings and actively contribute to the development and improvement of the service model.
