Theatre Orderly - Ashford Hospital

We are looking for an Orderly to assist with our fast-paced environment. The position is responsible for:

About the role

• transporting patients to/from and within the perioperative department
• assisting within the operating theatre as delegated by the nursing team
• providing assistance with patient transport
• ensuring patient trolleys/beds are available in recovery a timely manner
• couriering items as delegated by nursing team
• undertaking cleaning of the operating theatre between cases as per facility protocols
• restocking and unpacking as delegated
• waste removal from peri-operative suite
• working alongside the nursing staff of the perioperative department it is important to adhere to ACHAs Patient/Client and Staff Confidentiality with compliance to legislation and ACHA Privacy Policy.

About you:

• No previous experience necessary but would be desired
• Good communication skills able to take direction
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team
