Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

ELIQUIS is the leading direct oral anticoagulant in the US and a flagship brand for the Internal Medicine business unit and a leading revenue contributor for Pfizer with a long runway to generic entry in 2028. The ELIQUIS Access and Affordability Director role sits on the US ELIQUIS Commercial Brand Team and will serve a critical role on the ELIQUIS Alliance team with responsibilities to help progress the brands strategies and tactics in the Payer space as well as manage brand projects. The director will lead through a complexity of the Alliance and E360 Hub teams with various counterparts. Advancement in this space is essential to the brand teams success. This is an exciting opportunity to work both cross-functionally and in an Alliance to drive ELIQUIS performance.

The director will be responsible for several initiatives essential to market expansion brand growth and access across the Payer channel and aligned with the ELIQUIS marketing team. The Payer channel strategic priorities include evolving the payer value story executing tactics around patient affordability and ensuring access/payer and other resources are developed for the field teams including sales (CV/HSSS) KAD and USMA account director teams.

RESPONSBILITITES

  • Lead the E360 hub execution of affordability offerings (e.g. copay cards/FTO E360 materials) partnered with Consumer/HCP/PASS teams
  • Execute the IRA Implementation plan with high collaboration among Alliance payer marketing USMA marketing and cross functional partners
  • Lead ongoing updates and training for the ATHENS cost calculator and formulary decision assets with collaboration among USMA KAD and HEOR teams
  • Lead pharmacy strategy and tactical planning with execution aligned to ELIQUIS brand strategy
  • Collaborate with Payer Marketing Director on contributing to payer strategy and PFE brand ops planning
  • Lead the payer asset digital dashboards and ensure timely material development in alignment to brand planning
  • Support and manage ongoing training and updates for the field including CV/HSSS sales KAD and USMA account directors for POA meetings new asset roll-out etc.
  • Provide digital support of access materials such as rep triggered emails and NPP tactics
  • Lead the optimization of metric tracking to assess payer marketing efforts and identify areas of improvement and acceleration (e.g. EVP 4.1 analytics ATHENS Cost Calculator copay KPI dashboard etc.)
  • Own the asset repository strategy and manage expiry and extension of payer resources
  • Drive the structure and action feedback from ELIQUIS field team and USMA organizations through advisory calls POA sessions and other initiatives
  • Contribute to the payer long term strategy including health policy and formulary access initiatives
  • Ensure ELIQUIS field team access to payer materials through resource optimization and field troubleshooting
  • Liaise with US and Global HEOR and USMA teams to inform leadership updates and support POA meetings
  • Manage Brand team interactions and serve as PFE champion with Alliance promotional review process
  • Lead payer content for the ELIQUIS monthly marketing spotlight communication and for CFC Ad boards
  • Develop and deploy the monthly ELQ Access Exchange newsletter
  • Foster positive team culture characterized by collaboration mutual respect transparency and trust to bring joy while aligning to the larger Brand team culture

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 8 years pharmaceutical commercial experience; preference for vaccines and US market payer experience
  • 1-2 years of marketing role experience
  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
  • Strong business acumen & negotiation skills and ability to effectively lead and influence a cross functional/indirect team
  • Ability to quickly grasp and commercialize complex data and analyses and the methodology behind their development
  • Ability to lead and work as part of internal and external Alliances and a large matrixed team
  • Demonstrated initiative strong problem solving decision making and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated expertise and success in developing and executing strategic and tactical plans
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize/multi-task effectively
  • Strong knowledge of the US healthcare market required
  • Strong analytical skills; detail and action-oriented
  • Strong written verbal and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively both one-on-one and in groups
  • Ability to leverage US learnings to other global markets when pertinent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA and/or MPH preferred
  • Payer/market access experience preferred
  • Experience in commercializing HEOR data preferred
  • Deep understanding of US Payer Health System and Hospital contracting strategies preferred
  • Alliance operational experience
  • People management experience preferred

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169700.00 to $282900.00.* In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. * The annual base salary for this position in Tampa FL ranges from $152700.00 to $254500.00.
