Job Description Summary
The Controls Engineer within Controls Accessories and Marine engineering section is considered a lead role within the business.You are expected to be an individual with deep technical capability within controls system with a strong emphasis on applications. The successful candidate is expected to take ownership of the control system design development and validation to meet detailed customer needs.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Driving the identification and consolidation of requirements for the Controls System by applying control theory and mathematical modeling
Development of architectural and functional concepts to implement the previously identified requirements on system and subsystem level
Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors
Ensure adherence to GEs development process including support for internal and external process audits
Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements schedules and contract commitments
Coordination with the SW team in implementing the concepts in software
Qualifications / Requirements
Masters degree in electrical engineering aerospace engineering mechanical engineering automation technology or a comparable subject
Experience in system design in highly complex control systems in the industrial automotive medical or aerospace sectors
Proven experience with system engineering principles e.g. V-lifecycle process including requirements engineering Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methods tools validation & verification principles (keywords: DOORS SCADE MatlabSimulink Synergy Python NPSS C)
Understanding of engine and propeller controls principles
Documented exposure to the Aviation Regulation & Standard
Fluency in English
Work VISA according to local regulation is required
Desired Characteristics
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Previous experiences in multicultural environment preferable previous international experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
