What Youll Do

Job Design & Planning

• Design cement slurries for primary cementing squeeze jobs and plug operations
  
• Perform hydraulic calculations for job parameters including pump rates pressures and volumes
  
• Develop detailed cementing programs aligned with well design and regulatory requirements
  
• Select appropriate cement systems additives and spacer fluids for specific well conditions
  
• Conduct pre-job risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  

Operations Execution & Supervision

• Supervise cementing operations on drilling rigs and ensure compliance with procedures
  
• Monitor real-time job parameters and make adjustments to optimize placement
  
• Coordinate with drilling teams rig personnel and service providers
  
• Ensure proper equipment setup testing and deployment
  
• Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement corrective actions during jobs
  

Technical Analysis & Optimization

• Analyze cement bond logs (CBL/VDL) and evaluate cementing quality
  
• Conduct post-job evaluations to assess performance against objectives
  
• Investigate cementing failures and recommend remedial solutions
  
• Optimize slurry designs based on field performance and laboratory data
  
• Support cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality
  

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure all cementing activities comply with API standards regulations and company policies
  
• Verify cement quality through laboratory testing and field sampling
  
• Maintain accurate documentation including job reports AFEs and technical records
  
• Support HSE initiatives and participate in safety management systems
  
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for field crews
  

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with drilling engineers geologists and completion teams
  
• Interface with third-party service providers and cement vendors
  
• Participate in well planning meetings and technical reviews
  
• Provide technical guidance to field supervisors and technicians
  
• Communicate job status and issues to management and stakeholders

Requirements

Who You Are

• Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering Chemical Engineering or related engineering field
  
• Minimum 3 years experience in cementing engineering well construction or related roles in oil & gas
  
• Strong knowledge of cementing principles hydraulics and slurry chemistry
  
• Proficiency with cementing software (e.g. CemCADE WellPlan or equivalent)
  
• Experience with primary cementing squeeze cementing and plug operations
