Job Description
Location: Temple TX 76508
Assignment Duration: 12 Weeks
Open to Local & Travel Candidates
Position Highlights:
- Shift: 10-hr Night 08:00 PM - 06:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2400 - $2640
Responsibilities:
- Perform computed tomography (CT) scans in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Properly position patients for CT procedures using correct technique and immobilization as needed.
- Administer contrast media and other medications in accordance with facility medication administration guidelines.
- Handle and care for patients with IVs oxygen tanks chest tubes or other medical devices ensuring their safety throughout the imaging procedure.
- Monitor patients closely during imaging procedures and report any changes in condition.
- Use proper body mechanics when transferring or assisting patients to ensure safety and avoid injury.
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency protocols including the use of emergency drugs and equipment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete required documentation promptly.
- Ensure equipment is clean properly maintained and functioning according to safety and quality standards.
- Adhere to infection control radiation safety and HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide compassionate professional care and excellent customer service to patients and families.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Certification: ARRT (CT) required; BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required.
- License: Texas Medical Board MRT license.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience required.
- Prior experience with patient monitoring and contrast administration
