Job Title:Band 8A Specialist Clinical Psychologist Adult Acute
Grade:Band 8A
Location:London Greater London
Working Hours: 38.5 hours per week
Rate:Competitive details to be discussed upon application
We are seeking a highly experienced Band 8A Specialist Clinical Psychologist to join our NHS client in London Greater London. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychological input within adult acute inpatient wards
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to support recovery and wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care
- Contribute to service development and clinical supervision where appropriate
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation
Qualifications & Experience
- HCPC registration (essential)
- Significant experience working in adult acute mental health settings
- Proven expertise in inpatient psychological care and ward-based interventions
- Strong assessment formulation and therapeutic skills
- Previous experience in a Band 8A Clinical Psychology role
