Role Overview:
Were seeking a seasoned engineering leader with deep ML experience to build a new team to shape the future of entertainment through relentless innovation. Youll have comprehensive ownership of product development user experience design and technology implementation.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Lead strategic Generative AI initiatives in media entertainment for world class customer experience
2. Drive innovation in content creation enrichment and distribution
3. Partner with AI/ML scientists engineering teams and creative professionals
4. Ensure engineering excellence and operational reliability
5. Develop and mentor high-performing teams





Key job responsibilities
- You own defining teams charter tech vision while partnering effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- You establish a roadmap and successfully deliver software that executes that vision; making short vs long-term decisions defining clear goals and objectives.
- You independently manage a software development team owning cross-functional software. You hire the right mix of SDEs to accomplish team goals.
- You define metrics to measure team development progress customer experience and operational excellence.
- Your team has customer engagement mechanisms adheres to SLAs and effectively manages software operations

A day in the life
A typical day starts with a daily Stand up design reviews on upcoming project deliverables program reviews to touch base with Product/Program leaders and 1:1s with your team to help them in their career growth. Twice a year Operational planning to develop 3 yr vision documents with Product leaders.

About the team
You will be part of Prime Videos Content and Data Platform team within the Content Foundations organization. Were assembling a new team of talented software engineers at various career stages united by their commitment to enhancing the Prime Video customer experience. Our team culture combines technical excellence with a mission to revolutionize digital entertainment.

- 3 years of engineering team management experience
- 7 years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3 years of designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

- Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
