Long-Term Substitute Occupational TherapistJob Title: Long-Term Substitute Occupational TherapistLocation): Boston On-sitePosition Type: Full-Time OR Part-Time Temporary (September 2025 March 2026)Summary of position:The Baker Center for Children and Families (also known as Judge Baker Childrens Center) promotes the best possible mental health of children and families through the integration of research intervention training and Long-Term Substitute Occupational Therapist provides individualized treatment leads classroom-based groups and conducts pre-vocational Life Skills activities for students with complex learning social emotional and behavioral challenges. The Long-Term Substitute Occupational Therapist delivers trauma informed care through direct interventions in self-regulation sensory processing fine and gross motor skills executive functioning and self-care to maximize student participation in academic and daily Long-Term Substitute Occupational Therapist (OT) provides coverage when the assigned Occupational Therapist is absent for one or more days; including long-term coverage periods. Whats in it for meMake an impact on childrens welfare utilizing your skills in a highly supportive work environment!The opportunity to work in a face-paced fun supportive collaborative work environment with other passionate talented hard-working individuals!Gain experience in a highly regarded and reputable educational/ mental health organization with support mentoring and training from exceptional and experienced in learning and professional development opportunities and collaborate across to enjoy summers off or earn an additional 10% of your salary by working in a 4-week 20-day Summer duties:Provides occupational therapy intervention in 1:1 sessions in the OT gym or within the classroom setting and lead classroom-based with staff across disciplines on the impact of underlying skills on students academic social and behavioral functioning and on accommodations and modifications to support learning and informal assessment and diagnostic evaluations for 3-year Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives based on evaluations and treatment data in coordination with teaching quarterly Progress Reports based on observational and treatment with parents directly and/or through case managers on students occupational therapy the schools integrated team model through professional communication and :Masters Degree (MS) or Doctorate (OTD) in Occupational Therapy is Licensure Board Certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is :Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school or pediatric setting with a similar student population is working with students with social emotional and behavioral challenges :First Aid/CPR and Physical Restraint trainings is required or ability to participate in annual training at beginning of employment and annually or as needed throughout letter and a recent resume required for MA Licensure in good-standing; Board Certified through the NBCOTPosition Type: Full-Time OR Part-Time Temporary (September 2025 March 2026)Salary: $70000 - $90000; salary range pro-rated based on hours per weekOpen Date: September 2025BenefitsWe offer Medical (Blue Cross/Blue Shield) Dental and Vision options; 50% discount on monthly MBTA passes immediate enrollment into retirement with company contribution (4%) and match up to (4%) after 2 years of employment.
