October 2025-December 2025
SUMMARY: A substitute teacher is responsible for providing instruction managing the classroom environment and promoting student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhering to the curriculum and lesson plans assigned by the regular teacher/campus supervisor
- Following campus procedures and protocols
- Overseeing students outside of the classroom including hallways and the cafeteria
- Takes precautions to ensure staff/student safety
- Does not leave students unsupervised
- Taking attendance and documenting daily notes
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Must be detail-oriented and able to follow written and verbal direction
- Ability to effectively manage time and responsibilities
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to students parents and staff
- Genuine care for students
- Ability to be professional in appearance attitude and demeanor
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent walking standing stooping lifting (up to 30lbs)
- Regular contact with other staff members and building administrators
- Vocal communication with students
- Visual acuity is required for preparing /assisting with work and observing students as well as the general surroundings.
Daily rate of pay:
$100 Non-Certified
$130 Certified (will need to provide active teaching license)
