Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Corporate Actions Analyst to join our global operations team. In this role you will manage the full lifecycle of corporate action events across global markets ensuring accurate processing and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. This role will also have exposure to equities and fixed income products. The ideal candidate will have strong financial operations experience a keen eye for risk and familiarity with corporate actions technology such as FIS XSP.

  • Monitor and interpret global corporate action events (mandatory and voluntary) across equities and fixed income products.
  • Analyze complex event structures and ensure timely and accurate input into internal systems.
  • Coordinate corporate action elections with custodians brokers and trading teams for voluntary events.
  • Validate entitlements and ensure position accuracy post-event.
  • Communicate key corporate action details and deadlines to investment.
  • Liaise with custodians vendors (e.g. Bloomberg) and market infrastructure to validate notifications.
  • Perform reconciliations and resolve breaks related to corporate actions processing.
  • Assist in continuous improvement projects including process automation and system enhancements.
  • Stay up-to-date on market changes and best practices for corporate actions across global markets.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in corporate actions or securities operations ideally within an investment management or hedge fund environment.
  • Solid understanding of global corporate action event types including both mandatory and voluntary events as well as market-specific nuances.
  • Familiarity with custodial platforms and market infrastructure such as DTC Euroclear Bloomberg and SWIFT messaging formats.
  • Experience in a high-volume fast-paced trading or asset management environment.
  • Experience with FIS XSP corporate actions platform is a strong plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy reconciliation and operational control.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication skills.
  • Embraces a continuous improvement mindset with a focus on streamlining and improving system and team processes
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with global cross-functional teams.
  • Understand and embrace the importance of a team-oriented environment; ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Familiarity with relevant technology platforms and applications required to succeed in the role; working knowledge of Excel is required and experience with SQL VBA or Python is a plus.
