Job Summary
The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing internal and external communication strategies that enhance the company s reputation brand and stakeholder engagement. This role oversees media relations crisis communications content creation and executive communications ensuring consistency in messaging across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
Communication Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans aligned with corporate objectives.
Ensure brand consistency in all messaging visual identity and communication channels.
Media Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists media outlets and PR agencies.
Draft press releases media advisories and handle press inquiries.
Crisis Communication:
Serve as the point of contact for crisis communications.
Develop and execute crisis communication plans ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Internal Communications:
Create and disseminate internal communications to improve employee engagement.
Collaborate with HR and leadership to support internal campaigns and announcements.
Content Development:
Oversee the creation of high-quality content including speeches newsletters reports social media posts and web content.
Coordinate with graphic designers copywriters and external consultants when necessary.
Digital & Social Media Management:
Develop digital communication strategies to enhance online presence.
Oversee the company s social media channels and monitor engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Support strategic communication with stakeholders including customers regulators
partners and investors.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication Public Relations Journalism English Marketing or a related field.
- Master s Degree or relevant certification (e.g. CIPR IABC PRSA) is an added advantage
- Minimum of 6 8 years experience in corporate communications media relations or public relations.
- Proven experience managing communication for large organizations or high-profile projects
- Industry-specific experience (e.g. oil & gas energy telecoms finance) preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in content management systems (CMS) social media tools and analytics platforms.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
