Overview
Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) Industrial Division is seeking a Division Assistant Controllerlocated in Waco Industrial Division Assistant Controller supportsthe Division Controllerin the direct supervision of the day-to-day general accounting functions and coordinates the month-end closing process and daily/weekly monthly financial reporting. Assists in the development of financial plans and forecasts and the analysis of operational results and consolidations thereof. Prime day-to-day responsibilities will be cost accounting division financial analysis forecasting financial modeling business financial management and operating the budget.
Responsibilities
- Assist and oversee the General Accounting functions such as fixed assets inter-company accounting financial analysis and modeling forecasting and financial reporting.
- Support management financial requests for information through detailed analysis andreporting.
- Review andperform account reconciliations.
- Performtimely and accurate financial closing consolidations and reporting.
- Support the operating budget process.
- Oversee standard cost rolls processes.
- Support ad hoc Business unit/corporate requests.
- Assist in financial internal and governmentaudits.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly review packages.
- Business partner to the operations leadership team
- Serve as a backup to site Controllers and Division Controller
- Some domestic and international travel is required
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degreefrom an accredited institution preferred in Finance or Business discipline
- 5 years of relevant work experience - standard cost system andmanufacturing; preferredaerospace or heavy industrial experience
- Strong accounting knowledge
- Good business acumen
- Effective communication and influencing skills
- Ability to work effectively work as part of a team
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility is required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen U.S. Permanent Resident (ie. Green Card Holder) Political Asylee or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Some supervisory experience
- Oracle experience
- Hyperion experience
- Essbase experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suites
