Job Description
- Design and implement infrastructure solutions that meet organizational goals.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations and processes.
- Manage server environments including virtual and physical servers.
- Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to define infrastructure project requirements.
- Optimize network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
- Conduct regular infrastructure audits to assess system health.
- Provide technical support and train staff on infrastructure tools.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend upgrades or changes.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Assist in budgeting and cost management for infrastructure projects.
- Work closely with software development teams to ensure compatibility.
- Prepare regular reports on infrastructure performance and incidents.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms like AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
- Experience in server administration (Windows/Linux).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware Hyper-V).
- Understanding of database management systems (SQL NoSQL).
- Certification in any relevant infrastructure technology (e.g. CCNA ITIL).
- Experience with scripting languages (Python Bash PowerShell).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience in vendor and budget management.
- Knowledge of data backup and recovery procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
