About the role
Your responsibilities as HR Specialist will be responsible for ensuring organizational compliance with labor laws and internal policies while driving the strategic sourcing attraction and hiring of top talent. This dual-focus role supports the companys growth and risk management by maintaining regulatory adherence and building a strong diverse workforce aligned with business objectives.
You will coordinate with our lawyers and agencies ensuring compliance with labour laws regulations and CBA.
This role reports to HR Manager and will be based in Madrid.
Key responsibilities:
Compliance:
- Monitor and audit HR policies and practices to ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations.
- Conduct routine checks of employee records and HR documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to HR and management on compliance-related issues and best practices.
- Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to interpret and implement compliance requirements.
- Develop and deliver training sessions to educate staff on compliance standards and updates.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Review and update employee handbooks and policies to reflect current laws and organizational changes.
- Investigate and resolve compliance-related concerns or incidents coordinating corrective actions as needed.
- Track industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively adjust company policies and procedures.
- Manage and oversee employee background check processes and ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
Talent Acquisition:
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify staffing needs and develop targeted recruitment strategies.
- Source attract and engage high-quality candidates using diverse channels including online platforms and networking events.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: job postings screening interviewing and onboarding new employees.
- Enhance employer branding and promote the organizations culture and values to potential candidates.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Utilize data and analytics to optimize hiring practices and build strong talent pipelines for current and future needs.
- Stay current with market trends and evolving skill requirements to align hiring with business goals.
- Support diversity equity and inclusion initiatives in all recruitment activities
Required skills qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of compliance experience including compensation flexible working general policies contractual changes etc.
- Degree or Masters in Labour Relations Legal ADE or similar.
- Knowledge of Spanish Employment Legislation application/interpretation including ability to quickly assess potential areas of risk.
- Team worker.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and liaise with all levels of management.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English any other language will be a plus.
