Protection Engineer Responsibilities & Duties
- Design and develop protection schemes for electrical power systems.
- Perform fault analysis and power system studies.
- Install test and maintain protective relays and other protection equipment.

Protection Engineer Qualifications & Skills
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Experience with power system analysis software.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of advanced protection and control theories.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in power system protection.
- Familiarity with protective relays and other protection equipment.
- Understanding of power system operation and control.
- Proficiency in using relevant software tools.
