PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The hiring unit for this position the Sustainability Customer Adoption Unit (SCAU) is part of SAPs Sustainability Growth Unit (SGU). The mission of the SGU is to enable a sustainable economy by including sustainability in the ERP and helping customers on their sustainable e2e-transformation journeys.

The Sustainability Customer Adoption Unit (SCAU) contributes to this mission by focusing on the adoption of SAPs Sustainability cloud solutions and driving continuous customer success with a growth mindset on cloud-first and scalable approaches.

The SCAU is a global unit and comprised of two teams: Adoption Services and Adoption open position of Adoption Services Senior is part of the Adoption Services team.

The team focuses on:

  • acting as trusted sustainability advisor & multiplier combining the expertise of black belt SAP consultants covering sustainability & product subject-matter-expertise;
  • excellent project delivery for (early) sustainability customers i.e. implementation services from scoping to go-live with focus on time-to-value and customer satisfaction;
  • support of adjacent customer success tasks where (sustainability) services knowledge and experience are needed:
    • Pre-sales and activation support incl. deeper exploration conversations with prospects demo set-up and presentation RfP input or services sales support incl. services scoping
    • Enablement (L4/5-level) incl. for other SAP stakeholders and partners knowledge asset creation and orchestration of cross-regional sharing of global best-practices.

SCAU works in close alignment with product engineering GTM IBUs CSS (regional SAP Services CSMs) and our partner ecosystem. It holds a strategic position and high visibility across those functions championing sustainability adoption and success of our customers.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a Sustainability Adoption Senior in the Adoption Services team you are motivated to drive our success by securing long-term customer adoption & satisfaction represented amongst others by a growing number of successful go-lives renewals and expansion.

You will work in a global team and play an instrumental role in (non-exhaustively):

  • supporting successful (early) implementation projects to create lighthouse customer cases globally
  • transforming customer requirements and working out project / solution concepts as part of a fit/gap
  • setting-up configuring and activating the solution(s) in line to customer requirements and processes
  • actively using existing AI use cases
  • supporting an architectural evaluation by combining the customers system landscapes & processes with SAPs current & future roadmaps
  • working in tandem with the regional/local delivery teams business development teams and/or partners while building and sharing best practice
  • driving product success by rolling-in customer requirements or project concepts to improve our sustainability solutions and contribute to ready-to-use service packages
  • supporting SAP solution stakeholders across product engineering product marketing and GTM with robust solution knowledge
  • providing foundational expertise in project management

QUALIFICATIONS

To drive these core tasks you are someone who has:

a customer-centric mind set:

  • to excel in project implementations aiming to become a trusted customer advisor
  • to position and implement our products adapted to customers business processes and system landscape needs
  • to collect and channel customer feedback back to product development to improve our sustainability solutions

a functional Sustainability solution understanding:

  • ideally with experience in one or more of the areas below:
    • ESG Reporting solutions (such as SAP Sustainability Control Tower)
    • Climate Action solutions (such as SAP Sustainability Footprint Management including SDX and/or SAP Environment Management)
    • Circular Economy solutions (such as SAP Responsible Design and Production)
    • Social Responsibility solutions (such as SAP EHS SAP S/4HANA for Product Compliance)
    • Analytics or data tools (such as SAP Analytics Cloud SAP Datasphere and PaPM)

WORK EXPERIENCE & ADDITIONAL SKILLS

  • 3-5 years of working experience as SAP Consultant in Pre-Sales or in Business Development
  • customer-facing experience with solid understanding of SAP solutions systems & system landscape
  • ideally 3-5 years in Sustainability or a related field
  • very strong commitment to learn and build your knowledge in the Sustainability area
  • ability and willingness to undertake global travel
  • pro-active and self-responsible working style
  • team-player results-oriented with a can-do attitude
  • communication skills to convey complexity in an understandable and convincing manner
  • foundational skills in project management
  • fluency in English is required additional languages are welcome
  • University degree or comparable further educatio
