Job Duties
The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the Enrollment Unit Manager in the Eligibility and Enrollment Division.
Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
This position is responsible for the management and oversight of the Enrollment Unit within the Eligibility and Enrollment Services (EES) Division.
This Enrollment Unit is a fast-paced unit responsible for assisting with the accuracy of enrollments for almost 2 million Medicaid members.
Provides support to Department of Social Services (DSS) and local Departments of Social Services (LDSS) agencies across the Commonwealth as well as other internal and external stakeholders through assistance and education.
Treating everyone who interacts with the Division with respect and dignity; ensuring every member and stakeholder receives complete and correct responses while preventing access to case issues and supporting a collaborative and positive work environment and a quality work product.
Serves as the subject matter expert/business project lead for all Enrollment Unit implementations including coordinating system changes training and outreach.
Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of all Medicaid program policies requirements and federal and state legislative changes.
This position reports directly to the EES Division Director.

Minimum Qualifications
Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:
Considerable knowledge of the Virginia Medicaid and Childrens Health Insurance Programs (CHIP) to include eligibility policy and eligibility processing.
Considerable knowledge and experience working in Virginias eligibility systems Virginia Case Management System (VaCMS) and Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES).
Considerable knowledge of Virginias Insurance Marketplace (State-Based Exchange (SBE)) including processes and procedures.
Considerable experience in performing system readiness testing and documentation of expected and actual results; and managing projects effectively.
Considerable experience with technology including MS Office.
Considerable experience interpreting applying and analyzing federal and state complex laws regulations policies.
Considerable experience in managing completing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Considerable experience working and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Considerable knowledge of effective communication with diverse populations and conveyance of complex ideas.
Considerable work-related experience applying rules to facts to reach logical supportable conclusions.
Considerable experience independently leading professional teams and leading to meet established time frames.
