Position: Product Expert - Payment Cards
Location: Italy Milan
Sector: Financial Services - Issuing
Role Description:
We are seeking a Product Expert in the Payment Card area who will be responsible for defining and evolving product features of an entire Cards Portfolio for different client segments including related services and managing terms and conditions. The ideal candidate must possess deep knowledge of the payment card market and innovative dynamics within the industry interacting with VISA and Mastercard. The candidate should also be capable of interacting and collaborating with various company departments. The card products will then be distributed in Italy and also in other European countries.
Main Responsibilities:
- Define and outline the features of payment card products including additional services and innovative functionalities taking into account several client segments
- Manage relationships with VISA and Mastercard to ensure alignment and compliance with international standards and technical specifications.
- Ability to outline and monitor with the support of other Issuing departments such as Fraud Disputes Customer Services Risk the main drivers of product profitability and risk including the definition of fraud risk
- Collaborate with other Worldline departments to draft and manage the terms and conditions of the payment cards ensuring regulatory compliance at both national and European levels.
- Support the corporate marketing functions in conducting market analyses and benchmarks to identify improvement opportunities and areas of innovation in the product portfolio.
- Develop and manage product documentation including manuals and information sheets.
- Actively collaborate with the Marketing R&D Compliance Sales and IT departments to ensure that interconnections are effectively managed facilitating the product development process and supporting the offering of payment cards.
Requirements:
- Degree in Management Engineering Economics Marketing Finance or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in product management within the payment card.
- Experience and understanding of payment networks particularly VISA and Mastercard.
- In-depth knowledge of current regulations and best practices in the payment sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in cross-functional environments and manage stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English.
- Proactive and result-oriented with a strong ability to work independently and in teams.
