Crozer Health is seeking an experienced board-certified Gastroenterologist for the Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology position. This opportunity will require clinical and non-clinical skillsets for direction and advancement of the established Gastroenterology division. Responsibilities:Head the Gastroenterology Division of the Department of and supervise all members of the Division of budget in accordance with mutually agreed upon goals for the Division with the Chairperson of the Department of specialized gastroenterology services after consultation with the Chairperson of the Department of Medicine which may include but are not limited to such programs as:-Endoscopy Center of Excellence-Hepatology Center of Excellence-Colorectal Cancer Prevention-Center for Inflammatory Bowe) Disease-Womens Digestive Health-Nutrition ServiceServe on committees as directed by the Chairperson of the Department of Care-Deliver highest quality/compassionate patient care.-Recruit additional physicians to support programs.-Establish and maintain high patient --The Section Chief of Gastroenterology will be responsible for organizing and ensuring that lectures on various topics pertaining to gastroenterology are done for the internal medicine residents during the course of the academic year.-The Chief will work with the internal medicine program Director to ensure that noon conferences journal clubs and rotations on the gastroenterology service are performed.-The Section Chief will be responsible for organizing grand rounds at least twice-yearly on gastroenterology topics for the Department of Medicine. Quality Assurance The Chief will work to foster a culture of quality excellence and be responsible for initiating quality improvement efforts and communicating them to the healthcare team. The Chief will be responsible for regularly evaluating the quality of GI services and planning and implementing continuing education Relationships The Chief will communicate regularly with the divisions physicians and healthcare system leadership. The Chief will help coordinate community relationships. Time Commitment. Physician shall devote whatever time is necessary to provide the Administrative Services; provided however that Physician shall perform Administrative Services approximately sixteen (16) hours per month. Physician shall allocate time to Administrative Services as reasonably requested by Employer from time to time.
