Job Description

Qualifications: degree or licensure as an Elementary Teacher Grades 1-6 (Preferred Early Childhood experience) licensure in of a successful student teaching experience and a minimum of five years successful teaching of successful experience involving parents in the educational of the ability to work successfully with a broad variety of of the knowledge of the guiding principles and learning standards of the Massachusetts Common Core State StandardsReports to:PrincipalJob Goal:The elementary teacher will be responsible for communicating knowledge and skills to students in an interesting stimulating and effective manner. He or she will use a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum resources to present material to students and engage them in learning. The teacher will work as a team member sharing common planning professional development curriculum design and teaching responsibilities. The elementary teacher will administer different forms of student assessments and plan their instruction for students based on the data from the assessments. The teacher will work to integrate technology into teaching and professional activities. The teacher will also establish good relationships with parents and with other staff Responsibilities: reading language arts social studies mathematics and science to pupils in a classroom utilizing course of study adopted by the District as well as other appropriate learning pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school standards-based lesson plans and instructional materials in accordance with Common Core differentiated instruction to meet the needs of an academically diverse student student assessment data to determine student needs and plan standards-based lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the pupils academic and social growth keeps appropriate records and prepares progress with parents through conferences and other means to discuss pupils progress and interpret the school pupil needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve health attitude and learning an effective environment for learning through functional and attractive displays bulletin boards and interest professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district and/or self-selected professional growth cooperatively with the appropriate administrator to develop the method by which he will be evaluated in conformance with district and requisitions books and instructional aids; maintains required inventory pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working group standardized tests in accordance with district testing in curriculum development program as by: Principal
