Casual Clinical Educator Opportunities (Speech Pathology)

The LCC is a teaching learning and research clinic that provides speech pathology to the community on the University campus at Bundoora. The clinic is student-led providing progressive scaffolding of student skills in speech pathology from novice to entry level students interlinking with academic subjects and enabling students to confidently attend external placements.

Clinicians will work with groups of 6 students and 3 clients in a placement block. Clinicians will work in a highly supportive and structured program that will provide high quality speech pathology services to preschool children presenting with speech and language delay/disorder within a community health setting.

Clinicians will provide high quality clinical education for undergraduate and/or postgraduate speech pathology students. Orientation to the LCC and student program will be provided prior to the clinics starting.

These positions are casual with generous hours allocated. See below for the different placement dates. Clinicians will be required to attend the LCC (Bundoora) weekly on the specified clinic day and support students preparation for clinic remotely between sessions.

Master of Speech Pathology

  • Novice level placement
  • Student expectations & responsibility increase with competency level
  • Required availability: 1 day/week (7 hours) on-site remote work (approx. 2.5 hours/week)
  • Additional hours allocated for 3 hour orientation prior to start of placement
  • Additional hours provided for mid and final COMPASS assessment
  • Duration 9 weeks
  • Must be available Tuesday or Thursday (see dates below):
  • Tuesdays July 15th to September 9th 2025 (Block 1)
  • Thursday July 17th to September 11th 2025 (Block 2)

Bachelor of Speech Pathology

  • Intermediate level placement
  • Student expectations & responsibility increase with competency level
  • Required availability: 1 day/week (7 hours) on-site remote work (approx. 2.5 hours/week)
  • Additional hours allocated for 3 hour orientation prior to start of placement
  • Additional hours provided for mid and final COMPASS assessment
  • Duration 11 weeks
  • Must be available Wednesday or Fridays (see dates below):
  • Wednesday 6th August to 15th October 2025
  • Friday 8th August to 17th October 2025
