About this role:

The WoAG Land Management Services Manager will be an integral member of the JLL WoAG Account Team and will provide Department of Finance (FOE Finance Owned Estate) with a single point of contact for all sustainability and environmental issues within the account portfolio.

This role will be responsible for managing and administering the Entitys property portfolio ensuring compliance with Commonwealth policies environmental laws and heritage regulations while driving sustainable practices and preserving heritage assets.

Main Duties:

  • Environmental Sustainability Leadership - Administer energy use greenhouse gas emissions ozone-depleting substances resource utilization and water consumption across the portfolio. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to reduce environmental impact including energy efficiency programs waste reduction strategies and providing expert advice on sustainability policies.
  • Net Zero Implementation - Assist in developing comprehensive Net Zero transition plans contribute to resource management strategies monitor and report on energy consumption metrics and implement Green Lease requirements including Energy Management Plans and NABERS assessments.
  • Heritage Asset Management - Ensure compliance with heritage laws and regulations implement and monitor heritage management plans and provide strategic advice on preserving and effectively managing heritage assets within the property portfolio.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Ensure all services adhere to Commonwealth policies sustainability targets and applicable environmental and heritage legislation. Prepare documentation for mandatory reporting under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
  • Assessment and Auditing - Conduct regular environmental audits including NABERS energy and water assessments and perform energy audits compliant with AS/NZS 3598:2014 standards to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Sustainable Procurement - Incorporate sustainability provisions in contractor procurement documentation influence suppliers to reduce resource consumption and increase recycled content usage and ensure all third-party contractors comply with legislative requirements and entity policies.
  • Waste and Water Management - Develop and implement comprehensive waste management strategies focused on minimization and recycling optimization monitor disposal metrics and create water management plans identifying efficiency opportunities.
  • Strategic Advisory Services - Provide expert input into Environmental Sustainability Plans advise on emerging technologies and industry best practices and develop management plans action plans and improvement roadmaps as required.
  • Utility Contract Management - Procure and manage utility supply contracts analyze energy and water consumption data to identify efficiency opportunities and audit utility invoices to identify and rectify abnormalities.
  • ESG Support and Reporting - Assist in preparing annual environmental strategies at both entity and portfolio levels support Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives and contribute to sustainability reporting frameworks.

What we are looking for

  • University qualified in Engineering Environmental Science Facilities Management or a related field.
  • 3-7 years post education industry experience experience working in environmental due diligence compliance or condition assessments will be well regarded general understanding of Facilities Management with a focus on heritage asset management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Commonwealth environmental policies NABERS and relevant Australian Standards (e.g. AS/NZS 3598:2014).
  • Strong understanding of energy management waste reduction and water conservation strategies in commercial buildings.
  • Experience with Green Lease Schedules and Mandatory Commercial Building Disclosure requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and hold an AGSVA Clearance and or any additional associated Entity clearances will be preferrable but not mandatory.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
