Human Resources Generalist

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team of professionals. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments. Youll be a member of our highly respected team of professionals with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Serve as the first line of contact for HR transactions and processes; provides excellent customer service to employees by answering questions regarding policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the maintenance of personnel files and the processing of employee data in UKG HRIS
  • Liaise with other functions (e.g. Payroll Fleet Benefits) in support of the employee population
  • Partners with Payroll to ensure that all employee transactions are processed correctly
  • Manages onboarding and orientation for all new hires; completes the I-9 form verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
  • Coaches and advises leadership on a variety of routine employee relations issues provides problem resolution and ensures uniform and equitable applications of policies and procedures
  • Assist supervisors with adherence to SAFEbuilt policies and procedures including applicable federal state and local employment laws refers complex or sensitive matters to the HR Director
  • Prepare metrics data and reports for the region as needed
  • Manages the offboarding process for all departing employees; coordinates and schedules exit interviews
  • Recommends new approaches policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
  • Oversee the rollout of HR programs and initiatives
  • Maintain all employee records in assigned region
  • Participate in developing department goals objectives and process improvements
  • Stay current on trends and developments within the HRfield
  • Assists with HR projects as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • B.S or B.A. degree required in Human Resources or applicable field of study
  • 2-5 years of experience is required
  • Working understanding of human resources principles practices and procedures; thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations
  • PHR or SHRM Certifications preferred
  • HRIS experience required; UKG experience preferred
  • Mid-sized company experience a plus
  • Working in a multi-state/multi-location environment preferred
  • Up to 20% travel within region is required.
Salary Range: $54000 - $64000
COMPENSATION:Competitive salary and benefits package
