Job Description

Were looking for a Payroll Specialist whos not only skilled in payroll processing but also passionate about contributing to broader HR and business goals.

What Youll Be Responsible For:
Payroll Processing Excellence
- Process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls with precision and timeliness
- Maintain accurate records for new hires terminations and pay changes
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by gathering and analyzing data
Strategic business Partnership
- Collaborate with HR and various department leaders to align payroll with company goals
-Help shape payroll strategies that support broader organizational objectives
Employee Relations & Support
- Provide investigation expertise and assist in performance matters related to payroll issues
- Address inquiries with empathy accuracy and a solutions-focused approach
Policy Development & Compliance
- Stay current with federal state and local payroll regulations
- Ensure AmeriVets payroll practices are legally compliant and updated
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Collaboration
- Partner with Support Center leaders to ensure seamless onboarding processes
- Provide guidance on payroll setup for new hires
Benefits Partnership
- Coordinate with benefits teams on administration renewals and vendor interactions as they relate to payroll
Learning & Development Support
- Identify skill gaps and collaborate with L&D teams to support team development
Reporting & Analytics
- Deliver payroll-related insights (labor costs leave status etc.) to leadership
- Support decision-making through accurate and meaningful data
Coaching & Support for Managers
- Provide leadership with guidance around payroll processes and best practices
What Youll Bring to the Table:
1 years of Workday experience
- 3 years of payroll processing experience
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance and benefits coordination
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Solid communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience supporting cross-functional HR initiatives is a plus
- Multi-state payroll processing experience is a must
