Visyis powering the circular economy closing the loop between packaging remanufacturing and recycling. Over 75 years weve grown to 7000 employees and 150 global operations predominantly in Australia and New Zealand.

Webelieve materials are not recycled until theyve been made into new products. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper cardboard glass plastics and metals from households and businesses and locally remanufacture them back into new sustainable packaging. From cardboard boxes water bottles and jam jars to food and beverage cans we are using recycled content to power Australia and New Zealands food and beverage packaging industry.

Role Details

Reporting to the General Manager (Technical Services) the Compliance Auditor is tasked with assisting the Visy Group in compliance with ISO 9001 FSSC 22000 HACCP and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) / PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) standards particularly as an internal auditor and driver of system improvements. This role would entail regular travel to our sites nationally for audits.

What youll do

  • Conduct FSC PEFC Food Safety and Quality audits of Visy sites suppliers and outsourced services.
  • Report on audit findings and ensure any identified conformance issues are monitored via action plans to completion.
  • Participate in relevant projects to support and improve Visys compliance to all relevant international standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and facilitate continuous improvement projects associated with improving our compliance systems and reducing risk to the business.
  • Build relationships across manufacturing sites to share best practices

What You Will Bring

  • Lead auditor qualification in Food Safety Quality or Environmental management systems and audit experience (Internal & External)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in auditing and continuous improvement preferably in the manufacturing or packaging industry
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001 ISO 14001) and regulatory frameworks
  • Knowledge of Food safety or FSC and PEFC Standards
  • Excellent analytical communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Willingness to travel nationally
  • Proven training skills
