Salary Range: Up to $177105 DOE/DOQ*
*This range will also be subject to a 2% COLA that takes effect on July 1 2025.
The City of South Pasadena California is seeking a technically skilled and service-oriented Accounting Manager / Controller to lead financial operations during a time of modernization and transformation. This critical leadership position is responsible for managing core accounting functions including general ledger oversight audit coordination payroll administration financial reporting and support for the Citys budgeting processes. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer / Assistant City Manager the Accounting Manager will play a key role in stabilizing the Finance Departments operations implementing best practices and enhanced internal controls. They will oversee an accounting team of three and collaborate with a Budget and Purchasing Manager and the Chief Financial Officer to steward the Citys $84 million annual budget provide sound financial projections for decision-making and secure South Pasadenas fiscal future.
