Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Rail Access & Temporary Station Manager to oversee these services at the Exhibition Station. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in managing Rail Access & Maintenance within a large transit project.

Temporary Station

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Developing Maintenance Procedures: Develop efficient and safe procedures for all maintenance tasks. 
  • Handover Preparation : For each stage of the project follow the preparation of the documentation required for handover of the temporary station.
  • Budget Management: Track and manage budgets and expenses related to maintenance activities. 
  • Inspections: Conduct regular inspections on various facilities to identify potential issues and carry out necessary repairs. 
  • Staff Supervision: Train and supervise the maintenance department staff. 
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with external vendors for the execution of maintenance work. 
  • Safety Implementation: Implement and uphold workplace safety policies and standards. 
  • Equipment Supervision: Oversee the maintenance of broadcasting equipment such as microphones and cameras. 
  • Contract Negotiation with Performers: Handle contract negotiations with performers for live radio station performances. 
  • Leadership: Provide leadership management technical and professional direction to an on-site workforce through managers and supervisors responsible for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) functions in areas like airfield operations base support services logistics services safety and quality control environmental installation security water plant power plant wastewater treatment operations medical operations and fire services. 

 

Rail Corridor Access
Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety: Will be responsible for enhancing the safety of everyone who enters the rail corridor. This includes managing proper track protection and requesting a Flagger for subcontractors and our crews working in the rail corridor of MX.
  • Education: Will need to provide accurate and comprehensive education to ensure the safety of third-party contractors. Familiarity with MXs projects will be beneficial.
  • Access Control: Will manage access to the rail corridor including the timely allocation of transport means and equipment.
  • Planning and Coordination: Will need to plan synchronize and execute complex undertakings with a diverse set of individuals in different roles.
  • Review contract documents construction drawings generate procurement list RFIs Change Orders Permitting traffic and lands information etc. as necessary.
  • Track productivity costs and progress on Ontario Line South.
  • Liaise with and inform stakeholders vendors owners on project schedule.
  • Review create and present job cost reports to management.
  • Provide data and input for month-end reconciliation.
  • Maintain files and correspondence.
  • Assist in the coordination preparation and submission of as-built drawings and design drawings.
  • Liaise with clients contractors and internal departments.
  • Other administrative duties as required.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications :

  • Graduate from a relevant program such as Civil Engineering/ Technologist / Construction Management.
  • Experience with NAPT
  • Experience in the rail/transportation industry is a must
  • Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
  • Sound computer skills MS Excel / Lotus MS Word MS Project.
  • Strong communication skills oral and written.
  • Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with others as a team.
