Job Description

Position Title: Web Developer/WordPress
Job Timings: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Reporting to: Web Development Manager
Department: Marketing
Location: Bahria Town Phase 4 Rawalpindi

Position Purpose:

The WordPress Developer will be responsible for assisting in the design development and maintenance of websites using WordPress and supporting technologies (HTML CSS Bootstrap PHP JavaScript jQuery). This role includes PSD/figma to HTML conversion WordPress theme development WooCommerce integration and website optimization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented collaborative and capable of handling both front-end and back-end tasks efficiently.

Education & Professional Qualification:

  • Degree(s)/Major(s): Bachelors or Masters in a relevant field from a reputed local/foreign University.
  • Certification(s): Not mandatory but certification in web development is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in WordPress development.

Responsibilities:

  • Convert PSDs/figma design files into responsive HTML/CSS templates.
  • Develop maintain and customize WordPress websites and themes.
  • Deep understanding of WordPress custom post types taxonomies and meta fields.
  • Install configure and customize WooCommerce functionality.
  • Perform W3C validation front-end optimization and improve website performance.
  • Write clean scalable and maintainable code following best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across different browsers and devices.
  • Use version control tools such as Git/GitHub.
  • Collaborate with content design and technical teams.
  • Mentor junior developers and assist in project planning when needed.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in web development.


Requirements

  • Proficient in HTML5 CSS3 Bootstrap JavaScript PHP and jQuery.
  • Experience in converting PSD/XD designs to responsive HTML/CSS.
  • Strong understanding of WordPress architecture themes and plugin development.
  • Experience with WooCommerce setup and customization.
  • Working knowledge of MySQL and database management.
  • Skilled in using FileZilla Chrome DevTools and Firebug.
  • Solid grasp of responsive design and web accessibility principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
