Our primary school offers a high-quality education programme for over 330 children aged 6 to 11. It supports each students personal social academic physical and emotional development in an internationally oriented context. In our primary school an international curriculum is used to ensure that we provide a clear and consistent curriculum that appropriately challenges the students.
Your tasks and responsibilities
As the Supply Teacheryou will cover in classes in primary school for colleagues who are absent from school. Sometimes these will be planned absences for example when teachers attend professional development courses and sometimes they will be last minute when a teacher is sick.
- Create a safe and stimulating learning environment in which the students can discover and develop their intellectual physical social and creative potential
- Keep a well-managed and safe classroom
- Provide authentic formative feedback through which students can improve their skills knowledge and understanding and develop their higher order thinking
- Contribute to the work of the primary school as a whole
- Be part of the primary school initiative to further develop teaching and learning in all subjects and classrooms
- Engage in the life of the International School in this exciting city
Your profile
- A University degree in (Primary) Education or comparable
- High competency in written and spoken English
- Germanlanguage skills (B2) is a plus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills as well as the use of IT and new technologies
- Experience of working in an internationally-minded and diverse school community is preferred
