Engineering Intern Process Engineering
Phonak/Sonova USA Inc. is seeking a Process Engineering Intern who will support the day-to-day execution of engineering tasks related to manufacturing processes and methods. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Industrial Mechanical or Electrical Engineering who are excited to apply their technical knowledge in a hands-on environment. Based in Aurora IL this role offers exposure to real-world production challenges and process improvement initiatives.
Assist in investigating and resolving process problems identified by internal or external customers
Execute engineering tasks as assigned by management
Support development of process improvements for manufacturing and quality
Assist in the creation of jigs fixtures and tools to aid in assembly or warehousing processes
Aid in the development and implementation of process work instructions
Collaborate with the engineering team to support ongoing initiatives
Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management
Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Industrial Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Skills & Competencies
Understanding of manufacturing process flow
Basic drafting or CAD skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software
Strong team collaboration and communication skills
Motivated curious and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova.
