Provides administrative and nursing leadership to a team of multi-disciplinary leaders managing the delivery of patient care or to a significant sized nursing team that operates across multiple campuses/affiliates. Participates in system-sponsored nursing and other relevant initiatives establishing goals and standards to support patient care initiatives and to ensure the delivery of high-value quality care and achievement of common objectives. Develops and fosters a solid partnership with physicians medical staff and Sutter Health leaders and employees to facilitate and collaborate on initiatives to resolve operational challenges and/or to improve processes. Works with senior leadership to develop and establish short- and long-term strategic plans that complement system operating unit or affiliate goals and initiatives including business operations and/or organizational priorities. Sets priorities to align with business objectives and annual plan. Establishes the direction of policies and procedures and sets a structure for providing safe consistent and effective patient care. Establishes overall operating and capital budget with input from management team ensuring financial targets are achieved and variances are addressed timely. Where this job exists at a large affiliate as defined as: CPMC ABSMC SMCS and OU roles and reports to an Executive-Path leader and is a member of the Administrative Team the title will be Executive.Job Description:
EDUCATION:
Bachelors: Degree in Nursing Health Administration or related field. or equivalent education/experience
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
RN-Registered Nurse of California
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
15 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Demonstrates clinical proficiency and knowledge to effectively plan and coordinate patient care consistent with applicable standards and regulations.
Understanding of clinical operations and workflows and how operational process/workflow impacts other department operations.
Working knowledge and thorough understanding of health care laws licensing and accreditation requirements and clinical standards of practice with the ability to interpret and implement applicable requirements to ensure operational compliance.
Knowledge of emerging treads and regulatory changes and how it impacts operations.
Business acumen demonstrating ability to establish goals and standards to meet long and short- term objectives and make sound business decisions.
Demonstrates credible leadership presence with the ability to respond to questions with logic clarity calmness and authority; and the ability to engage others.
Demonstrates familiarity with various methods of care delivery and quality improvement concepts.
Ability to build and establish effective working relationships with employees peers and leaders.
Demonstrates collaboration skills to facilitate open sharing of information and cooperation with various stakeholders and to build consensus.
Demonstrates problem solving skills with the ability to handle difficult circumstances.
Working knowledge of wage and hour laws.

Pay Range is $125.54 to $200.87 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidates experience education skills licensure and certifications department equity training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
