TITLE: Homework Center Coordinator - Middle SchoolSUMMARY: Reporting to the Building Principal the Homework Center Coordinator is responsible for supervising and monitoring the Homework Center in the Library/Media Center. SCHEDULE: 1 hour after school (until 3:30 p.m.) - 4 afternoons per week (4 hours per week)(The specific days of the week may change or vary based on the needs of studentsas determined by the Building Principal.)ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Offers afterschool homework assistance to students enrolled in Grades with the Main Office to make sure students fill out the proper paperwork to be able to use the Homework Center on a particular day. Helps and assists students with unfinished classwork/assignments homework and projects. Tracks daily attendance of students in the Homework Center. Coordinates and assigns peer tutors as needed. Maintains a log for the High School tutors of their time working in the Homework Center so they can use it for service QUALIFICATIONS:Current member of the Oxford Education Skills and AbilitiesAble to supervise lead or advise individuals small groups and large groups of students. Able to work in a team and independently. Able to work after school hours until 3:30 p.m. weekdays. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position for extended periods; position oneself to demonstrate technique; move up to 25 lbs.
