The Center for Procedural Skills and Simulation (CPSS) at UI Health Care has an opening for a full-time Simulation Administrative Services Coordinator. This position under the direction of the CPSS Director and Operations Director is responsible for coordinating scheduling and communications for educational events. The CPSS Administrative Services Coordinator supports all learning activities related to simulation through scheduling coordinating and resource management of learning spaces.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) to interact with and work effectively with other faculty staff students and vendors in a positive helpful and cooperative working relationship.
- Ability to quickly learn new technology.
- Ability to provide assistance with CPSS activities.
- Ability to move maintain and set up lab equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
CHARATERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the daily operations of the Center for Procedural Skills and Simulation including coordination of specialized events and activities monitoring appropriateness of expenditures contract or grant requirements and changes in policies and procedures.
- May require advanced knowledge and expertise in specific office project or program to provide administrative/operational support and management.
- Make decisions and exercise a moderate level of autonomy while typically performing administrative support including managing schedules correspondence and travel arrangements.
- May initiate learning and training sessions related to simulation and/or immersive education.
- Initiate HR transactions; initiate purchasing requests for supplies and equipment.
- Monitor accounts/expenditures; reconcile statements.
- May work with organizational Human Resources to ensure guidelines and rules are followed and to disseminate information.
- Assist in the coordination/preparation of strategic plans in support of the CPSS.
- Typically is the primary contact for the CPSS; provide information and respond to inquiries.
- Gather and provide information using available resources.
- Prepare and administer correspondence. Establish timelines remind contributors proof read and edit.
- Serve as liaison to faculty staff students alumni and public concerning inquiries or complaints requiring interpretation of policies procedures and programs.
- May serve as primary contact for building maintenance and facilities management.
- Move maintain and set up lab equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
Work schedule: Some flexibility between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday

- A bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 6 months experience in customer service or client/patient relations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) to interact with and work effectively with other faculty staff students and vendors in a positive helpful and cooperative working relationship.
- Ability to multitask perform under pressure and demonstrate time management and organizational skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Office products including Outlook Word Power Point and Excel
- Ability to quickly learn new technology.
Desired Qualifications:
- Clinical knowledge and experience working in a healthcare related field such as EMT paramedic or other credentialed allied health profession.
- Certification or degree in allied health preferred such as Paramedic EMT Emergency Department Tech C.N.A. Respiratory Therapist Surgical Technologist LPN or Patient Care Technician.
- Experience with simulation education.
