Position Overview:
As aPatient Services Coordinator with Sentara you will coordinate activities for specific physician practices including insurance verification/obtaining precertification scheduling pre-registration and order transmission (faxing). The purpose of this position is to ensure maximum reimbursement and reduce denials related to incomplete insurance information and/or authorization. The Patient Services Coordinator maintains statistics and acts as liaison between clinical testing sites and physicians offices.
Education Required:
High School Diploma
Experience Required: Two of the four are required:
-Two years of experience in a healthcare environment.
-Completion of healthcare related certificate program.
-Associates Level Degree or higher.
-Transferable skills (i.e. One year or more in a call center customer service etc.)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages inclusive of base pay incentives and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$16.92 - $25.38. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials standby/on-call overtime premiums extra shift incentives or bonus opportunities.Sentara Independence provides quality outpatient services to the surrounding community. The facility includes an ambulance-accessible emergency room that is supported by board-certified physicians. Sentara Independence houses state-of-the-art medical equipment and highly-skilled physicians and staff. Sentara Independence is now an extension of the quality services at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital including advanced imaging and physical therapy.
