The National Security Sector at Leidos is seeking a Weapon Performance and Component Technology SME in Albuquerque NM as part of our Counter-WMD Systems Engineering and Integration Team supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. This position is new work which we expect to be awarded later in 2025.

In this role you will provide improvement of existing modeling and simulation tools for weapon performance the development of new models and the comparison of weapon systems using models. This will include the following:
- Integrate current and emerging technologies and associated data across the target hardness spectrum into existing modeling tools for predicting WMD defeat weapons performance.
- Develop and modify models to support improved capabilities across the target hardness spectrum for predicting WMD defeat weapons performance.
- Perform independent studies comparing capabilities of current and proposed weapons including novel weapon deployment tactics utilizing both engineering and high-fidelity calculations.
Required Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI clearance is required however we have the ability to hire at the Secret level for highly qualified candidates who are willing to upgrade to TS/SCI.
Required Experience Skills and Education:
- Active Secret level security clearance and the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI
- Bachelors degree in an engineering or scientific field and 12 years of relevant experience
- Experience with DTRA research and development or developmental testing and evaluation
Desired Experience Skills and Education:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Graduate degree in engineering or a scientific field of study
- Prior experience supporting DTRA RD-TS or RD-CXW

Pay Range:
Pay Range $104650.00 - $189175.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
