The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Leadership Team and lead the financial direction of Applied EV. As CFO you will shape and execute a financial strategy that supports innovation operational excellence and long-term growth.
Youll work closely with the CEO and Board to drive high-impact initiatives including fundraising commercial partnerships international expansion and product development. This is a rare opportunity to make a strategic impact in a fast-evolving innovation-driven environment.
What Youll Do
- Lead financial planning capital strategy budgeting and investor reporting
- Drive strategic financial initiatives to support growth market expansion and commercial success
- Provide forward-looking insights to guide decision-making across the executive and operational teams
- Evaluate investment opportunities pricing models and business cases with commercial rigor
- Oversee global financial operations including compliance reporting risk management and tax
- Represent the finance function in Board meetings investor forums and strategic negotiations
- Mentor and lead a high-performing finance team with a culture of agility and accountability
- Manage external relationships with business advisors and partners
Requirements
- CA or CPA qualified with 1015 years of senior finance leadership experience
- Background in technology automotive manufacturing or innovation-driven sectors
- Proven success in scaling operations capital raising M&A and managing cross-border finance
- Deep knowledge of corporate finance treasury compliance and financial modelling
- Ability to influence executive stakeholders and translate financial insights into commercial outcomes
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience managing geographically dispersed teams
- Executive presence commercial acumen and a hands-on outcomes-focused approach
- Experience in high-growth or scale-up environments (desirable)
- Exposure to global expansion international finance setup or tech commercialisation is a plus
