  • Position Summary:

    The Advancement Coordinator supports the mission of the school by supporting and coordinating a wide range of fundraising stewardship donor engagement and advancement activities. This role works closely with school leadership staff and consultative groups to implement strategic initiatives that promote long-term financial sustainability. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented collaborative mission-driven and passionate about Catholic education and community engagement.

    Main Responsibilities:

    1. Supports the Mission

    • Collaborates with school leadership staff and consultative groups to advance the mission of the school through strategic funding efforts.

    • Maintains a current and relevant level of professional knowledge and skill in advancement and fundraising work.

    • Participates in regional Archdiocesan and national professional organizations as approved and appropriate.

    2. Coordinates Fundraising Activities

    • Partners with the Vice Principal Academics and Institutional Growth to plan and execute development and fundraising efforts.

    • Supports the Advancement team in organizing and executing annual fundraising initiatives including the Annual Fund the Applause Auction and other stewardship campaigns.

    • Identifies grant opportunities and writes/submits grant proposals aligned with parish and school needs and the broader Advancement Strategy.

    • Assists in the planning and implementation of capital campaign activities when appropriate.

    • Ensures fundraising efforts are consistent with Archdiocesan norms policies and procedures.

    3. Builds Relationships

    • Cultivates and nurtures relationships with donors alumni and other community partners to strengthen engagement and support.

    • Identifies prospective major donors and conducts background research to support donor cultivation solicitation and stewardship strategies.

    • Supports school alumni relations by helping locate and engage alumni coordinating reunion efforts and assisting in alumni-focused fundraising.

    4. Manages Advancement Data and Brand

    • Maintains accurate donor and gift records in the advancement database. Manages graphic design and marketing collateral as needed for brand event and social use.

    • Ensures timely recording of donations and coordinates the acknowledgement of all gifts through thank-you letters receipts and stewardship touchpoints.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Communications Nonprofit Management Marketing or a related field preferred.

    • Previous experience in fundraising donor relations or event planning is strongly preferred.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Proficiency with donor database systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

    • High attention to detail excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education and the Catholic Church.

    Work Environment:

    • Requires working occasional evenings and weekends particularly around major fundraising events.

    • Some local travel may be necessary to attend meetings or events.
