Whats on offer
Based in Bunbury and reporting to the Regional HSEQ Manager for Infrastructure Services we are seeking a seasoned HSEQ Lead to assist with the implementation of Fulton Hogans Health and Safety systems and strategies and provide health and safety specialist advice technical and management support. The role will be primarily focused on Fulton Hogans business activities in the South West and Great Southern regions of Western Australia. In this position you will undertake risk assessments of complex tasks collaboratively with both internal and subcontractor delivery teams and develop strategies to prevent and minimise workplace injuries. You will also:
- Support Managers and supervise activities to achieve a positive health and safety culture.
- Manage a small team of HSEQS Advisors in conjunction with the Regional HSEQS Manager.
- Travel throughout the South West and Great Southern regions to support the HSEQS team and project requirements.
- Implement and be the custodian of the businesses safety management system.
- Conduct thorough incident investigation and facilitate the sharing of lessons learned relevant to improving safety performance.
- Provide governance through scheduled audits and inspections of management plans procedures and activity risk to ensure practices align with business client and legislative requirements. And support proactive risk reduction and continuous improvement programs.
We are seeking:
- Demonstrated experience as a HSEQ Lead and or Senior Advisor delivering Civil projects coupled with WHS and Injury Management experience & thorough understanding of WHS legislation.
- Demonstrable experience working autonomously achieving deliverables in tight time frames and with strong HSEQ systems experience.
- Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety and ICAM lead Investigator.
- Proven ability to engage coach and foster relationships at all levels of an organisation.
- Quality / Safety Lead Internal Auditor (desirable).
- Current First Aid certificate and valid Drivers Licence with flexibility to travel.
