Job Description: Mechanical Trainee Design (Transformer Industry)
Position Title: Mechanical Trainee Design

Location: Por Vadodara

Job Summary:
The Mechanical Trainee Design position is an entry-level role intended for freshers or recent graduates who are looking to build a career in the design and development of transformers. The trainee will assist in designing drafting and analyzing mechanical components for transformer products under the guidance and mentorship of senior engineers. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the transformer industry and mechanical design engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Assistance:
  • Assist the design team in creating and modifying mechanical components and assemblies for transformers including enclosures bushings tap changers and cooling systems.
  • Support in the preparation of detailed drawings 3D models and design documentation using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks or CATIA).
  • Review design specifications and help ensure that transformer components meet both functional and aesthetic requirements.
  • Technical Support:
  • Work alongside senior design engineers to review and improve existing designs ensuring that they meet industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Perform basic mechanical calculations to verify the strength durability and functionality of transformer components.
  • Assist in conducting simulations (e.g. thermal analysis stress analysis) to evaluate the performance of mechanical parts under real-world conditions.
  • Product Development and Prototyping:
  • Collaborate in prototype development for new transformer designs assisting in the creation of models for testing and validation.
  • Participate in the testing and evaluation process of newly designed components to ensure they meet the required performance standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Ensure that design changes and updates are accurately documented and communicated to other departments (e.g. production quality control).
  • Maintain records of design calculations testing reports and meeting minutes for future reference and audits.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
  • Work closely with production quality assurance and other engineering teams to ensure that the designs are manufacturable cost-effective and meet quality standards.
  • Address design-related queries from the production and testing teams ensuring smooth coordination between design and manufacturing.
  • Learning and Development:
  • Stay updated with the latest mechanical design techniques software tools and industry standards relevant to transformer manufacturing.
  • Participate in training sessions workshops and mentorship opportunities to improve your technical knowledge and skills in mechanical design.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (fresh graduates or candidates with limited professional experience).
