Are you ready to take the first step towards a rewarding career NLC is searching for our next enthusiastic Trainee to join our dynamic Regional Development team in Nhulunbuy.

Youll be paid while you work towards a nationally recognised Certificate gaining valuable hands-on experience alongside our supportive Regional Development team. With a collaborative approach to coaching and mentoring youll be guided every step of the way as you build your skills and confidence.

About the Role

This position sits within the Regional Development team in the Nhulunbuy office and funded by the Employment Pathways Program. This position will be responsible for providing day to day administrative support to the regional office in order to effectively and efficiently service the needs of the branch and the Northern Land Council (NLC). The successful candidate must be willing to enrol in a Certificate II III or IV in a qualification related to their position and is committed to learning. This position will also report to the Education and Employment Pathways Manager over the course of the traineeship on outcomes related to learning and development.

In addition to this you will have: -

  • Completion of year 10 high school or previous work experience.
  • Completion of year 10 high school or previous work experience.
  • Good attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to work with a range of computer software products in particular Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • The ability to confidently and respectfully communicate with people across the organisation as well as Traditional Owners (TOs) our constituents and members of the general public.
  • The ability to be punctual and have excellent attendance to work and study commitments

We offer:

  • A base salary of $54869 per annum per annum plus15% superannuationandsalary sacrificingup to $15900 Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2650 per year.
  • Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:
    • District allowanceof up to $4631 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2539 without dependents.
    • 5weeks annual leave leaving loading 18 days personal leave;
    • Paid Christmasclose down;
    • Upon completion of 12 months of service anAnnual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $3177
