Job Purpose
The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing sales operations across the motor vehicle business. This includes developing and executing strategic plans driving team performance and coordinating with key departments to ensure sales targets are met. The role also involves performance monitoring reporting and aligning sales initiatives with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Support the development and execution of sales strategies aligned with the company s overall business goals.
- Drive the achievement of sales targets across all business units providing regular progress updates to line managers.
- Lead implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Provide input into the preparation of annual budgets to ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Champion performance monitoring through effective KPIs training programs feedback loops and team appraisals to foster a high-performance culture.
Sales Operations
- Identify and implement improvements within sales processes to boost team productivity and efficiency.
- Oversee CRM systems to ensure accurate data management and enhance user experience.
- Conduct data analysis and provide actionable insights on sales performance and KPIs.
- Assist in setting and achieving sales forecasts in consultation with executive leadership.
- Drive automation of sales workflows to improve pipeline accuracy and team output.
- Collaborate with teams to align sales strategies with business goals.
- Lead sales training programs for onboarding and skills development.
- Monitor performance metrics and initiate corrective actions to resolve bottlenecks.
- Manage the sales operations budget to ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify new opportunities and customer segments.
Marketing Support
- Collaborate with product/brand managers and marketing to design targeted campaigns to grow market share.
- Support execution of brand-specific marketing strategies to drive revenue and brand awareness.
- Monitor effectiveness of marketing initiatives and recommend enhancements in response to market dynamics.
- Contribute to the development of marketing policies and procedures that align with quality and compliance standards.
- Support market intelligence efforts by analyzing customer preferences and competitor activity.
- Guide branding initiatives to enhance the company s market positioning.
- Lead the planning and execution of promotional events and campaigns targeted at key market segments.
Requirements
Qualifications
- A Master s degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Experience
- 12 years of experience in a relevant role with at least 5 years in senior management within a comparable organization.
- Automotive industry experience is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in both B2B and B2C sales and marketing.
