The Site Construction Manager shall be an employee of the CONSULTANT and will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction and commissioning of a large power plant and synchronous condenser projects. The role requires a highly skilled professional with at least twenty (20) years of experience in multi-national and multi-discipline projects. The Site Construction Manager must work full-time on this project and shall not be involved in any other project or work assignment.
Lead and manage the construction site activities ensuring compliance with safety quality and project specifications.
Oversee the construction and commissioning of large-scale power plants and synchronous condenser projects.
Coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary teams including mechanical electrical civil and commissioning engineers.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with contract specifications project plans and international best practices.
Monitor and control project schedules ensuring timely completion of key milestones and deliverables.
Liaise with consultants contractors vendors and stakeholders to resolve technical and logistical issues.
Implement and enforce health safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on-site.
Provide leadership and direction to the construction team ensuring high levels of productivity and efficiency.
Prepare and submit progress reports risk assessments and project status updates to senior management.
Ensure compliance with local regulations industry standards and client requirements.
Address and resolve any construction-related challenges conflicts and discrepancies in a timely manner.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to engineering standards.
Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and equipment.
Qualifications :
Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
Experience: Minimum twenty (20) years of experience in multi-national & multi-discipline projects.
Project Expertise: Strong background in managing the construction and commissioning of large power plants and synchronous condenser projects.
Nationality Requirement: Must be a Non-Western national/KSA national
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead large construction teams and coordinate various disciplines.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional language proficiency is a plus.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify analyze and resolve complex construction challenges efficiently.
Project Management: Strong understanding of project planning scheduling and execution.
Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of local and international construction standards and safety regulations.
Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems related to power plants.
