Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative special education coordinator to support IEP compliance instructional quality and student outcomes across our network. This role combines compliance oversight instructional leadership and systems management to ensure excellence in special education services.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure timely accurate and compliant IEPs and documentation aligned with state and federal regulations.
Mentor special education staff and lead professional development focused on effective instruction accommodations and modifications.
Collaborate with school leaders ISD/RESA and families to support student needs.
Manage special education systems (MIPSE PowerSchool etc.) and oversee Medicaid and Section 504 compliance.
Lead data reviews behavior strategy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Valid Michigan teaching certificate with special education endorsements.
10 years of experience in special education teaching or related services.
Deep knowledge of IDEA MARSE and instructional best practices for students with disabilities.
Strong communication collaboration and leadership skills.
High ethical standards and commitment to organizational values.
