THE ROLE:
The Sales Development Representative is responsible for identifying and qualifying sales opportunities for IGELs North America sales organization. There is not a high degree of technical knowledge required for this position. This position lays the foundation for a successful high-tech sales career. There is a path for career growth within IGEL for the right candidate willing to learn and work toward that goal.
Location: Ft. Lauderdale FL - Hybrid In-office & remote
Your first 3-6 months
Learn the IGEL products and messaging
Learn the tools necessary to be successful: Dynamics CRM call scripts Zoom Outreach ZoomInfo LinkedIn product info
Build relationships with your sales channel & sales engineering counterparts
Leverage any opportunity you can to learn the market and the business
Leverage phone email LinkedIn and other means to connect with potential customers
Consistently book qualified meetings for sales teams attaining your monthly goal as set by leadership
6-18 months
Continue to build on your core skills and product/industry knowledge
Know what it takes to meet or exceed your goals and maintain momentum to do so
Begin to expand your knowledge of Digital Sales duties and responsibilities
Work with mentors to set goals for yourself to gain consideration for promotion
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS:
The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for scheduling discovery calls to ensure the potential client is a good fit and needs IGEL. The discovery call is where the SDR will qualify potential clients through a series of qualification questions/criteria and pass that potential client to an Account Executive who will work to move those deals to closed business.
- Cold outreach to potential clients about their secure endpoint operating system needs - this may entail the SDR to create the need for the potential client as they may not be actively evaluating endpoint operating systems
- Qualify potential clients to ensure they have the authority to implement a solution like IGEL
- Call on Inbound leads
- Work as a part of the North America sales team to meet the organizations goals
Interact with prospects via telephone and email with close attention to detail
Promote and market IGELs business through extensive and persistent cold calling emails and communication(s) to prospective clients
Work target prospects lists and focus on penetrating key accounts
Meet or exceed assigned KPIs of outbound calls emails and customer interactions
Diligently update MS Dynamics our CRM to stay current on leads and follow-ups
MININUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous sales experience or extracurricular activities related to sales
Previous cold-calling experience
