Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting a mission-critical government program. This role requires a seasoned systems engineer with a strong background in both system administration and software development environments. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced collaborative settings and is comfortable working with minimal guidance to solve complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Lead Developer Government leadership and cross-functional development teams to define priorities and drive Agile processes
Facilitate communication between technical teams government stakeholders and end users to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables
Support the development and maintenance of systems using technologies such as AWS .NET C# Java PHP Linux Windows Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle
Assist in the preparation of project schedules; identify and communicate dependencies risks and impediments
Contribute to requirements management ensuring clear definitions of done in collaboration with customers
Maintain and update technical documentation and support project planning activities
Education & Experience Requirements:
System Engineer Level 2
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline and fourteen (14) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity
OR
Nineteen (19) years of Systems Engineering experience in lieu of a degree
Additional Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated experience working on software development teams with diverse technical skillsets
Proven ability to operate independently and collaboratively in high-visibility mission-driven environments
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Strong communication skills and ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience administering systems in Windows and Linux environments is preferred
Familiarity with managing systems in virtualized/cloud environments particularly AWS is preferred
Proficiency with Atlassian Suite tools including Confluence and Jira is preferred
Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation and project schedules is preferred
