Job Purpose: The Credit Manager - Supply Chain role is instrumental in ensuring the financial stabilityand operational efficiency of Birla Pivots supply chain operations. By creating tailored credit programs understanding anchor-driven value chains and implementing robust risk management practices this role aims to minimize credit risk exposure and foster sustainable partnerships with anchor partners. The primary purpose of this role is to develop and maintain a clean and sustainable credit portfolio monitor portfolio performance closely and proactively manage credit risks to ensure minimal delinquencies.
Key Accountabilities & Support Actions
Anchor-Driven Credit Programs:
- Create anchor-driven credit programs by understandingspecific value chains and requirements of key anchor partners.
- Develop a clear understanding of anchor value chains to identify potential credit risks and opportunities for tailored credit solutions.
- Utilize financial and non-financial metrics to assess credit risk within the value chain and design customized credit programs to mitigate risks effectively.
Portfolio Management:
- Establish systems and processes to effectively manage the credit portfolio including risk assessment credit approvals and monitoring.
- Work towards maintaining a clean and sustainable operational credit and financial portfolio with anchor partners by implementing robust credit risk management practices.
- Monitor the credit portfolio closely to ensure nil delinquencies and proactively address any potential credit issues or challenges.
Risk Management and Metrics Development:
- Develop and implement lead indicator metrics to assess and manage credit risk within the supply chain operations.
- Build systems and tools to monitor and analyse portfolio risk including credit exposure concentration risk and payment trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify emerging risks and opportunities for improving credit management processes and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in finance Accounting Business Administration or related field; MBA or relevant professional certification preferred.
- 3 years of experience in credit risk management supply chain finance or related roles preferably within the B2B ecommerce or supply chain industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and non-financial data to assess credit risk and develop appropriate credit solutions.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with anchor partners and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts and recommendations.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software as well as Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of supply chain operations credit risk management principles and industry best practices.
