Job Description

Facilities & Maintenance Specialist

The Opportunity Alliance is looking to fill the facilities and maintenance specialistposition with our operations department.

The Facilities and Maintenance Specialist participates in the implementation development and administration of programs that maintain buildings grounds and equipment in accordance with regulations and administrative guidelines.

The Facilities and Maintenance Specialist will also manage plant operations while monitoring and aiding the construction renovation and repairs of buildings equipment and contents. This role is interictal in maintaining the quality compliance and safety of all agency facilitates.

Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week

Location: On-site in South Portland ME

Qualifications:

  • An associates degree preferable in Engineering Construction Technology Industrial Technology or other course study along with two years of practical experience or a High School Diploma with five years of practical experience required.
  • One to three years of experience with maintenance and custodial departments preferred.
  • Contracts that have Rider D: Must be able to able to successfully pass a criminal background child protective service check & sex offender check.
  • Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks including shoveling snow lifting objects weighing as must as 50 pounds bending stooping and reaching.
  • Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for the occasional need to meet with clients offsite and within the program service area. This may include driving to agency locations to complete work. A good driving record is required.
