General Information/Job Summary
As a Human Resources Specialist you will support the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources functions and duties assigned. You will be part of a team that strives to provide effective support to the organization and to its goals and objectives as directed by management.
Responsibilities/Competencies
- Data Entry using multiple software programs for payroll and billing & timekeeping purposes.
- Compile and audit employee paperwork for accuracy and compliance with HRIS requirements (new hire rehire and transfers).
- Communicate with all respective team members regarding employee staffing needs payroll and training requirements.
- Verify new and previously employed candidates for Saulsbury employment through the employee verification process.
- Assist employees and management with onboard paperwork and training modules to completion with accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process employee related HR paperwork according to established procedures and guidelines.
- Set up drug and/or alcohol testing authorizations with 3rd party clinics through the company provided software.
- Liaison for jobsite crew and management concerning payroll and benefit inquiries.
- Support compliance with state and federal employment and benefit laws HR policies and Saulsbury policies procedures and guidelines.
- Process termination requests ensuring backup documentation is received and all exit paperwork is completed and filed.
- Prepare and submit payroll changes ensuring proper approvals and backup documentation is obtained.
- Prepare invoices for processing and submit them in a timely manner.
- Become proficient in the use of company software such as Workday NOVATime Spectrum and Coupa to conduct job tasks.
- Maintain files reports databases and shared documents.
- Consistently meet set deadlines.
- Support HR initiatives and projects.
- Other duties tasks and projects assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year minimum General Human Resources Oil and Gas Human Resources or Construction Human Resources experience
- HR confidentiality required
- Teamwork mentality & Detail oriented
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word Excel Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of Federal and State labor laws & regulations or ability to learn those laws and regulations.
- Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis without restriction.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to maneuver as needed through an office environment.
- Ability to carry up to 30 pounds.
